Terms of Service and Disclaimer (plain language)
Version 1.0, effective 2026-09-04. If we change these terms we change the version and the date here, and the version shown to you when you order is the one that applies to your order.
Who you are dealing with
TenderProof is operated by Justin Lienaux, sole proprietor, Nova Scotia, Canada. Notices, questions and requests under these terms go to info@tenderproof.ca, and that is also where we will write to you.
What this is
This is an extraction tool. You send us a tender document, and we send back a brief that pulls out the closing date, the mandatory requirements, the bonds and insurance and licensing rules, the scope of work as stated in the text, and a list of anything it could not confirm. It is built to read documents, not to think for you.
What this is not
This is not legal advice, bidding advice, or pricing advice. It does not tell you whether to bid, what to bid, or whether you will win. It does not submit anything on your behalf. It is not a substitute for reading your own tender document.
Your responsibility
Every fact we take from your document comes with a page citation pointing back into it. Anything we computed, and anything we could not find, is labelled as such. Before you rely on any date, requirement, or dollar figure in your brief, especially the closing date, you must check the cited page against your own copy of the tender. If your brief lists something as "not found" or on the MUST-VERIFY list, that means we could not confirm it, not that it does not exist. Treat those items as unanswered questions, not as "no."
No guarantee of completeness
We do not promise the brief captures every requirement in your tender. Some information (drawings, scanned pages, tables, companion documents you did not send us) may not be captured, and the brief will say so wherever that happens. Every brief includes a completeness count, showing how many of the standard categories were resolved, so you can judge for yourself how far to rely on it.
What you pay and when
A single brief is $149, paid by Interac e-transfer after the brief is delivered. The first brief for your company is free, and there is nothing to pay and nothing to cancel if you never send a second one.
The five-pack is $595, prepaid, valid for 12 months from the day you buy it. Unused prepaid briefs are refunded on request at any time within the 12 months.
The desk plan is agreed with you in writing before it starts. You can cancel it in any month. Nothing is charged automatically: there is no card on file and no subscription billing on any of these.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. HST is charged only where we are required to collect it, and the payment request you receive shows the exact amount.
Liability
If something in your brief is wrong or the service clearly fails to deliver (for example, the wrong document's brief, a blank result, or a broken output), our only obligation to you is a refund of what you paid for that brief. We are not liable for any other loss, including a missed deadline, a lost bid, a contract dispute, or any other damages, beyond that refund.
Your document and your data
What we receive. The tender package you email us, the email it arrives in, and your email address.
Where it is stored. With Cloudflare, in Cloudflare's data centres. Your package, the email it came in, and the brief we produce are held there. Nothing is put on a public link and nothing is posted anywhere.
Who can see it. The operator only. We do not share your document with anyone else, and we do not use it to train anything.
How long we keep it. We keep your package and the brief in our own storage while we produce the brief and for 30 days after delivery, so we can answer questions about it. After that it is deleted.
How to have it deleted sooner. Email info@tenderproof.ca and ask. We delete it and confirm back to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Any dispute arising from them goes to the courts of Nova Scotia.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. The version shown to you at the time you order applies to your order.
